About Kat

Kat is a full time wedding and portrait photographer based in Indianapolis, IN. Her work takes her all over the world, with her husband by her side. They have a little bunny (with a mustache) named Binks and she is the light of their world.

Growing up, Kat was always the girl carrying a book in her purse and spending her free time peeling through the shelves of the Carmel Clay Public Library and the local bookstores. Although free time to read is not as easily available nowadays, she is still adding to her shelves at home. That “want to read” list has gotten rather long so Kat’s goal for 2023 is going to be reading 50 books! She is determined to set aside more time for reading in between all of her shoots and editing.

Along with wanting to read more, she is also planning to cook and garden more! So far, she’s been doing quite well! All of the favorite recipes are going to land right here on this blog so that others can enjoy some simple but delicious recipes. She is also going to share what worked and what didn’t turn out so well from her 2022 gardening experience. She is very interested in learning about how to become as self-sufficient as possible while living in the ‘burbs. Next up on her to-do list for Fall 2022 is a generous purging of unnecessary clutter and organization thanks to Amazon and Target.

A final note about Kat that most don’t know about is that she is an avid writer! She has been writing novels since her sophomore year of high school. Her love for creative writing landed her in a handful of additional English courses in college. So many so that she could have had a second minor in English had she taken just one more class! Would have been nice to know before walking across that stage, right?
